Grant is TWO!

Woah Woah Woah!!! Hold on here a second......my LAST baby cannot be TWO??!! This just isn't allowed to happen. How did my sweet little nursling grow up and become this amazing little toddler who only wants to snuggle mama on his terms? You turning two is even harder to grasp than your siblings because every milestone with you is the last of that type of milestone that I will get to celebrate with my children. Sigh. I knew it would happen, I was just hoping that time would finally be on my side and slow down a tad.

Nonetheless you are now TWO and I have to accept it. You are such an inquisitive little man. You want to be a part of all the action.....especially anything that Veda and Grayson are up to! They still aren't all that thrilled about it when you bust in on them playing the iPad or building anything with blocks or coloring because you wreck havoc on all the above! You poke your fingers all over the iPad, you knock down every. last. tower they build, and coloring....well you think its fun to create your own art on THEIR paper. They get angry but they always forgive you and shower you with hugs and kisses when necessary.

You are on the fast track to learning these days. You are counting to 20, singing your ABC's and trying to talk in complete sentences. One of my favorites is "mommy, pick you up me"....which translates to "Mommy, you pick me up" I will be incredibly sad when you figure it out so shame on me for not correcting you at the moment but I'm enjoying you and your toddlerness.

About a month or so ago you and Grayson got bunk beds. I was so nervous to transition you to a big boy bed because you are such a great sleeper. You surprised me and continued on with your normal sleep habits. Its been a flawless transition.....thank you! You look so tiny is such a big bed!

You have yet to master potty learning but you are well on your way. You have gone numerous times on the big potty but you don't really care where you go, we will keep working and I'm sure you will get the hang of it in no time.

You don't seem to favor anything in particular as far as toys or tv is concerned but you have followed in Grasyon's footsteps and need to have "D" in eye site at all times. When you are tired all you want to do is snuggle your "D", suck your thumb and be in mommy or daddy's arms. Oh how we love it!

Your birthday was pretty busy this year. We went to visit Grandma Hosmer the weekend of your birthday and we took our friends Andrea, whom you called "Andra" all weekend and her boys Brock and Brayden. We had a great time swimming, going to the bounce house, and playing at Grandma's. We sang "Happy Birthday" to you and had cake before leaving Grandma's for home on your special day. Daddy wasn't with us but we had another party for you the next weekend with Nana, Papa, Grandma Rita, Uncle Skip, Aunti, Andra, Ashley, Joe, Jack  and of course sissy, Grayson, and mommy and daddy. We enjoyed lots of great food and Mickey Mouse cupcakes. You loved being the center of attention and it was a blast watching you open your presents!

I really want this next year to slow down but I certainly am going to love watching your grow! I love you baby boy!
