Christmas 2014

We LOVE tradition and this year was no different. The tree was up the day after Thanksgiving and our elf Nixon showed up too! I think Nixon brings as much excitement as Santa! As soon as you would wake up in the morning you would start searching for the mischief that he got himself into! Silly elf! We spent the season with a visit to Santa at Bass Pro, baking and decorating cookies, winter wonderland, and of course spending lots of time with our family. This year Veda wanted all things littlest pet shop and Legos. Grayson wanted all things Ninja Turtle and Lego. Grant just wanted everything he seen in the stores! I think between mommy and daddy and Santa, you were very spoiled!

Hospital Stay

Grayson, you were  running a fever of 102 before bed and complained of a headache but still continued to run and play with the other kids and have a good time. You went to bed around 8pm and woke at 10:30 , all I could hear was a repetitive sound of dadadadadadada.......daddy went running in, and I came shortly after to see you with your eyes rolling in the back of your head and you were twitching and still trying to talk and couldn't get your words out. I  knew you were having a seizure. It really scared me. Off to the ER we went. They admitted you and gave you an IV. You were amazing and so so brave! We stayed overnight because you just weren't yourself after the event. I snuggled you all night and daddy came to be with us the next day until you were discharged. Luckily it was just a febrile seizure and we will follow up with a neurologist.

I want to wear some makeup just like you. Someday I am going to marry Brayden. I love him mom. Isn't my dress beautiful.

Cookies!

What better way to end a not-so-great-day than to bake some cookies with the little ones and pray tomorrow is a little easier!

A day at the park

First Grade!

First grade and so so excited to see your friends from Kindergarten! We had a great summer dispite the fact that it wasn't very warm but you are ready for school. I'm happy that you have decided that you don't want to ride the bus and actually want me to drop you off and pick you up! I'm looking forward to watching you grow academically this year!

Grayson is a preschooler!

I feel like time keeps speeding up. With each child the years seem to go faster and faster and here I am sending another one off to preschool. It's bittersweet. Grayson you were so excited to go but you kept asking me if I was staying with you. I explained that I wasn't and that upset you, but when the day arrived you marched right inside with zero apprehension and said goodbye to me. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! I mean, of course I'm so happy for you that you did so well, I'm just a little sad for myself because you didn't "need" me! I can't wait to see you grow and learn this year! Love you to the moon and back!

Road trip!

Off to Grandmothers house we go! And we decided to take some friends! We had a blast, all of you 5 kids drove us moms a bit crazy at times but the memories that were made were totally worth it. We went swimming even though it was a bit too cold, we enjoyed hiking avalanche mountain, and bouncing at Busy Bodies bounce.
